1st Annual Seaton Trail Clean-up Day

October 19th, 2009

Thank You! to all the volunteers that came out to help clean up, maintain and build new trail on the Seaton during our 1st Annual Event; You each contributed so much to make the day a huge success. Thank you also to Jason Murray for sharing his time and trail building expertise and to IMBA Canada for the loan of their amazingly outfitted Tool Trailer. The Oak Ridges Trail Association (ORTA) also greatly assisted our efforts with the loan of many hand tools for use in the Whitevale section.

The entire section from Green River to the Whitevale Community Centre is now clean and groomed, ready for users to enjoy without injury or inconvenience. We especially thank those dedicated Toronto Outdoor Club (TOC) members brought together by Gary Ataman that worked so hard in the Forestream section to build new trail.  WOW, you were all awesome and have created some excellent safe new trail for users to enjoy for a long time to come; thank you so much for your time and extraordinary efforts

We welcome your feedback on this event and suggestions on how we might improve our next Clean-up and Trail building Day in Spring 2010 by clicking on our Contact Us link to communicate your ideas. Please check back early next year for more opportunities to continue maintaining and building safer routes on our trails; we would love to see you out again.
